Can you imagine stepping into the kitchen each day to fix a meal for a family totaling 16 people? Karen and Deon reveal just what it takes to get breakfast on the table.
First off, the happy Doubling Down with Derricos star Deon Derrico reveals that they are at the grocery store basically every day. Their food budget for a month is roughly $3500 according to In Touch.
The TLC stars claim that on the average pancake breakfast Karen Derrico flips between 30-40 pancakes to feed her hungry family. They reveal that when it comes to grocery shopping buying in bulk is the way to go. Especially when it comes to toilet paper and milk.
The Derricos’ large family includes Dad, (Deon), Mom, (Karen), Darren, 16, Derek, 10, twins, Dallas and Denver, 9, quintuplets, Deonee, Daician. Daiten, Deniko, and Dariz, 7, twins, Diez and Dior, 4, and triplets, Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver, 2.
The Doubling Down with Derricos stars resides in Las Vegas in a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home. However, one of the bedrooms has been converted into a classroom setting where mom Karen homeschool 9 of the children daily. Karen Derrico admits that their family has definitely outgrown their home.
Doubling Down with The Derricos: Karen Gives Birth to Four Sets of Multiples
Despite the reality family’s current cramped living spaced they are considering adding another baby into the mix. However, with Deon and Karen, it is rare that only one single baby at a time joins their family.
The Derricos already have four sets of multiples. However, each set of multiples has been conceived naturally without the aid of IVF. Which is very rare.
The Doubling Down with Derricos parents reveals that multiple births no longer come as a surprise to them. They claim they have grown very accustomed to it.
In 2020 when Doubling Down first began airing in 2020, Karen and Deon Derrico revealed that come from a long line of family multiples.
More Derrico Babies to Come
However, now into the Derrico’s family 3rd season Karen and Deon are awaiting the arrival of baby number 15. Yet, the proud parents reveal even with such a large family they are not willing to put that diaper bag away just yet. But, for Karen Derrico, 40, and Deon Derrico, 49, they love the idea of more children.
