Alina Kozhevnikova was fired from 90 Day Fiancé over racist social media posts, so her repeated scenes in recent episodes are confusing fans.

Russian 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Alina Kozhevnikova, who was fired from the franchise, and her boyfriend Caleb Greenwood are being featured in several repeated scenes in episode 9, confusing fans. 90 Day Fiancé cut ties with Alina after several old racist posts made by her on Facebook and Instagram were brought to light by Reddit users. The first was Alina using the N-word in a caption for her “gender bender” costume picture. Soon enough, several other posts surfaced, including one where Alina used the racist slur seven times and two others about Muslim and Asian communities. TLC shared a statement that Alina would no longer appear in episodes from February onward, but fans did see her, Caleb, and even Elijah on Discover+.

“TLC discontinued filming with Alina Kozhevnikova following the recent discovery of her past social media statements. She will not appear on the upcoming ‘Tell All,’ any future seasons of the franchise, and starting next month, she will no longer appear on ‘Before the 90 Days,” reads part of TLC’s statement about Alina. However, episode 9 seems to have recycled certain scenes of Alina and Caleb, which made up for almost 14 minutes of the entire episode’s content. These included Caleb confronting Alina after she’d told him about her ex-boyfriend from Russia and Alina and Caleb saying goodbye to her best friend Elijah. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode 9 showed Caleb and Alina going to the Turkish bathhouse or hammam to have a romantic time.

Some fans were left scratching their heads due to Alina’s presence on 90 Day Fiancé. The others seemed to think they were watching an older episode. “Editors accidentally put the same scene with Elijah, Alina and Caleb in two consecutive episodes,” posted Reddit user u/JanuaryFourth1990 about burlesque performer Alina. u/Jetsfan1984 replied, “My wife and I thought we where going crazy but now I got confirmation from someone else I’m not crazy lol.” A few fans suggested that TLC could have just shown them more of Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda dealing with him sending her indecent photos to his ex, or even Ella Johnson and Johnny, who didn’t even make it to episode 9.

However, some admitted that lately, they had been fast-forwarding Alina and Caleb’s scenes anyway, so it didn’t really matter. But there were questions about the TLC statement too since it had announced Alina would be scrubbed out of episodes that would air in the second month of 2022. Meanwhile, u/choocheu became the bearer of good news to many when they wrote the editing error with Alina and Caleb’s segments had been resolved. “The editors fixed this within the past hour, I think? They are still nauseating to watch. The editors also took out the Gino Jasmine hat snatch scene at the end,” the fan explained.

While it’s not yet known if TLC will retain Alina and Caleb on the episode that finally airs on TLC at 8 p.m. EST, Alina still says that she’s a “Cast member of #90DayFiancé: Before the 90 Days S5” in her Instagram bio. It’s been said that Alina is not a part of the season Tell-All which was filmed over the weekend that her exit from the show was confirmed. Meanwhile, Caleb’s fate in future episodes and the reunion is still generating curiosity. A preview for episode 10 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days even showed Caleb introducing Alina to his parents, which she thinks is “a big step.” Caleb’s parents don’t seem to be approving of his relationship with Alina, which otherwise stays a mystery since neither one of them has confirmed if they’re still together amidst the ongoing controversy.
