1000-lb Sisters has Tammy Slaton that seems to put life on the back burner due to her weight. She weighs around 630 pounds now and is trying to get her life together. Things are not panning out for her after trying to lose weight and not being successful. Her family worries and tries to help when they can. He sister, Amy Slaton, helps her with most of her needs. Amy buys her groceries and essentials. That’s why Amy hired a home care nurse for her sister.

But Tammy is not a fan of her sister doing this. She does not want a nurse and feels as though Amy should stop being lazy and help her. However, Amy has other ideas. She says she is tired of being Tammy’s 1000-lb Sisters caretaker and just wants to be her sister again. Her other sister, Misty Slaton, says “You have a hard time even getting up from the bathroom.”

Her family expresses concerns because they think he just likes her for her size. But Tammy insists that they are in love. She told Misty Slaton that she plans on going to Las Vegas, Nevada to visit him. But Misty has concerns. With Tammy not being able to walk further than 70 steps on her own, how does she plan to navigate Las Vegas?

Tammy says she never experienced what teenagers experience, and she wants to do that now. She says she doesn’t want to care about what people think and wants to make herself happy for once. Misty wants her 1000-lb Sisters’ sister to be able to take care of herself. But she barks back, saying she can take care of herself. But Misty isn’t so sure and doesn’t want Tammy to travel on her own to meet a new guy without at least meeting him herself.
