Doubling Down With The Derricos fans took a long time to put names to faces of the large family on TLC. However, Darian Derrico was easy to remember because she’s the oldest of the 14 children. This weekend, her mom and dad, Karen and Deon Derrico announced a massive milestone for their daughter.
DDWTD Darian Derrico Never Became A Nanny
In the first season of the TLC show, many people assumed that the oldest child would end up with a horrible life as a nanny to her siblings. Fortunately, that was thanks to Deon’s mom, GG, and their friend Eric Jefferson helping out with the younger kids. Still, fans saw that they kept a tight rein on their eldest. In June of 2021, the teenager went to an overnight summer camp for the very first time.

Darian Derrico was accepted to NYU. Additionally, Deon Derrico spoke about how she also landed herself a job. Actually, it seems sad to think that she’s growing up and one day, probably leaving home. The family is close-knit, and her siblings will probably miss her very much. Mind you, she’s not likely to stay out of touch.
Doubling Down With The Derricos: A Massive Milestone
Subsequent news about the oldest daughter revealed that she attended a dramatic writing program through the Tisch School of the Arts. There, she learned about communication, and now Karen and Deon Derrico are communicating more news on Instagram. This time it’s a massive milestone. The DDWD stars shared a reel to celebrate the occasion.
In the caption of the jointly shared post, Karen Derrico wrote:

There’s not enough words to explain our gratitude to God for blessing us with such a wonderful, responsible, multi-talented, funny, amazing, smart daughter!! We all love you and so excited to celebrate this day and many, many more with you!!! 😘🎉🎂🎈🎊 HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!! WE LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!
TLC star Deon didn’t let the occasion go unnoticed, either. He said:
