1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton Halterman never held down a real job as far as TLC fans know, so they wonder what she does for money to afford a nanny. Of course, her husband, Michael Halterman holds down a job as a mill operator at Shamrock Technologies. But he filed for divorce and she can’t rely on his check.

Amy Slaton Halterman Wants A Nanny

Since the divorce filing, fans heard that Michael Halterman and his ex will split custody of the kids. Both of them spend time with the children. Remember, the first inkling of issues between the couple arrived when fans saw that Michael wouldn’t lift a hand to help with the two fractious boys. By Season 5, his wife had had enough of raising the kids without his help.

A preview for the 1000-lb Sisters show on December 19, revealed Amy Slaton weeping as she discussed her life with her sisters. The new season on TLC seems to focus on her problems a lot. In fact, the final showdown between her and Michael involved her sister Amanda while Tammy Slaton looked shocked. And, it was Amanda who talked with her about wanting a nanny.

1000-Lb Sisters Fans Discuss What Amy Does

When the preview for the show arrived on Instagram via TLC, Amy said:

I’m just like exhausted all the time and I’m hurting 24/7 because I’m trying to take care of two boys and take care of the house, take care of Mom. It’s just a lot…I need some help. I cannot keep going like this.

Amanda didn’t think that getting a nanny in would help the situation much. After they watched the scene go down, 1000-Lb Sisters fans talked ability what Amy Slaton does that could earn her enough money to consider a nanny.

• I really want to know what she does other than [the] TLC show.
• Honest question: what do they do all day?
• I assume their income is from disability? We know Amy has the eye issue…how can they afford a nanny on a disability check?
