1000-Lb Sisters returns to TLC tonight and fans couldn’t be happier. It’s been quite some time since Tammy Slaton and her family members were on the small screen. Now, viewers will get a chance to catch up with Tammy and her health journey.
Quite a bit has happened since 1000-Lb Sisters was last on the air. However, TLC is giving viewers a glimpse into the early, happy days of Tammy and Caleb’s marriage.

1000-Lb Sisters covers Tammy and Caleb’s blissful honeymoon stage
When viewers last saw Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham, they just tied the knot and preparing to settle into married life at the rehab facility. Now, this season will pick up just where the last one left off.
However, quite a bit has changed in the past year. Caleb Willingham died on June 30, 2023, at 40 years old. As a result, this season has quite a bit of ground to cover.

Before Caleb passed away, he and Tammy did enjoy some time together as husband and wife. TLC is teasing a few happy moments of their marriage ahead of the season premiere tonight. They even featured a clip of the couple waking up together.
“Being newlyweds with no privacy is not ideal… See how Tammy and Caleb navigate their romance in their facility on the season premiere of #1000lbSisters, Tuesday at 9/8c,” the official TLC Instagram account captioned its post.
Although Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham married, the rehab facility didn’t allow them to sleep in the same bed. In the clip, they say that’s one thing they look forward to once they get home.
Plenty of viewers wrote that the clip made them really feel for Tammy. Some of the comments included:
- This makes me so sad for her. They barely had any time together.
- So sad she lost him so soon.
- It’s so weird to be watching knowing not only did they break up but that he died.
Some fans slam TLC over Caleb’s appearance in the trailers
Some viewers appreciated seeing Tammy and Caleb’s happier moments together. Other comments indicated they found it disrespectful of TLC to keep Caleb in the footage. Many Instagram users said they felt that TLC should have eliminated Caleb’s storylines once he passed away out of respect.
But either way, Caleb and Tammy will be back when 1000-Lb Sisters comes back to TLC tonight.
