Tammy Slaton’s Amazing Weight Loss Transformation
When fans first met Tammy Slaton in 2020, she weighed an astounding 605 pounds. At the end of the first episode of 1000-lb. Sisters, she had to be weighed at a junkyard.
Viewers watched as Tammy wrestled with the realization that everything that comes with weight loss was not easy. She seemed to give up on several occasions.

For a long time, the 1000-lb. Sisters star struggled to find motivation on her weight loss journey, even when her sister was mildly successful in dropping the pounds. In the second season of the show, viewers found out that Tammy was hospitalized after she was infected with COVID-19.
Getting sick prompted more weight gain for Tammy Slaton, unfortunately. She eventually reached 717 pounds, her highest weight yet. Family members said that she was drinking a lot, vaping, and eating whatever she wanted.
Thankfully for Tammy, she finally got on the wagon and started losing weight. After all, her life depended on it. She checked herself into a rehab facility in January 2022 and stayed there for 14 months.
In the summer of 2022, Tammy lost enough weight to receive gastric bypass surgery to help speed up her weight loss.
It was revealed that Tammy Slaton weighed 448 pounds in August 2023, meaning she has lost around 269 pounds. She is also on a diet and fitness routine to promote continued weight loss.
1000-Lb. Sisters Star Shows Off Major Weight Loss On Social Media
On Tuesday, Tammy took to Instagram to share a rare full-body video of herself showing off her two Halloween costumes. The first part of the video showed the TLC star in a black-and-white skeleton bodysuit, complete with a Day of the Dead decoration.

It’s easy to see that Tammy Slaton is much slimmer than she’s ever been and she’s more confident than ever too. She twirled for the camera in her Halloween outfit, which is something she couldn’t do prior to her major weight loss.
The second part of the clip showed Tammy in a second outfit. She was dressed in an Egyptian queen get-up. Again, she twirled for the camera and threw out the dress’s train behind her.
Tammy didn’t bother to caption the post, but that didn’t stop fans from rushing to the comments to compliment her new, healthier look.
“I bet it feels so good to look so good in a Halloween costume and to be able to do a 360!!! Woohoo Tammy!” one person wrote. Another chimed in saying, “I’ve never been so proud of a stranger who [doesn’t] even know that I exist than I am right now.”
