Doubling Down With the Derricos star Karen Derrico is giving thanks and sharing an update on Momma Debbie. She took to social media to let fans know how the special lady is doing and made sure to show her appreciation to her loyal fans as well. Who is Momma Debbie?

Fans met Momma Debbie Hogan on TLC’s DDWTD and on social media. Her daughter, Tiffany, tragically passed away. Karen and Deon Derrico’s daughter, Dawsyn, needed a heart tissue donation, so Tiffany was able to save the little one’s life. To this day, the Derricos have remained close to Debbie.

Recently, both Deon and Karen have been sharing posts about Debbie on social media because she could use some extra support. About a year ago, Debbie was involved in a car accident and suffered serious injuries, including fracturing “3 vertebrae in her neck resulting in paralysis from the chest down.”

She’s currently in Spinal Cord Injury Functional Integrated Therapy in California in hopes that she will be able to walk again. Amid this, the Derricos have requested prayers and donations to support Momma Debbie.

Karen Derrico offers another update & thanks fans for the support.

Now, Karen is back with another update on this special lady. On Instagram on Friday evening, she posted a video of Debbie during one of her therapy sessions. So, fans can finally see an update on the progress she’s making. In the video, she’s attempting to take small steps with a walker and the support of a couple of therapists.

While sharing the video, Karen Derrico took a moment to show her appreciation for fans. She said, “Thank you to everyone who has donated for Momma Debbie! We truly love y’all and appreciate it!”

DDWTD fans are very appreciative of the Derrico family for highlighting Debbie’s story and for sharing updates along the way. Many are offering to make donations, while others are promising to keep Debbie in their prayers.

In a comment, Deon also chimed in, cheering on Momma Debbie and reminding her that they have the whole family’s support.
