90 Day Fiancé star Darcey Silva shocked her Instagram followers with her latest Photoshop fail. The 46-year-old is a well-known face on reality TV thanks to her multiple appearances on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days since 2017. Darcey used to date then-boyfriend Jesse Meester and, after their split was briefly together with Tom Brooks. Darcey’s relationships were as badly criticized as her many makeovers since Darcey started looking different with every season. The Connecticut resident with her twin sister Stacey Silva received negative publicity that worked in their favor. They were cast in their own spin-off called Darcey & Stacey, which has completed four seasons.
But Photoshop is certainly not for everyone, and Darcey is proving just that with her new Instagram update. “I love red,” Darcey wrote in the caption. It showed Darcey wearing a figure-hugging red dress and standing atop a ladder. While at first glance, it may look like a regular photo, Darcey’s observant followers pointed out a list of mistakes that could have only happened if Darcey used Photoshop and miserably failed.
“Is this a joke?” asked one of Darcey’s fans, and others commented, “Your right arm. The wall behind it by your hip looks warped. Terrible photoshop” along with, “This picture is not real! Where did her feet go?“

“A little photoshop is fine, but this is absurd. 5 ft, woman made to look like a thin, six feet tall model,” wrote a different fan on Darcey’s post. Darcey has, as usual, chosen to ignore the comments, and in all probability, she will not respond to any of the criticism. The backlash on her Instagram is unusual because Darcey was recently praised for her new figure. After having undergone endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty in December 2022, Darcey finally showed off the results.
Darcey did not reveal how much weight she lost, but her pictures from a red carpet event in May 2023 were evidence enough of her transformation. Darcey rocked a svelte look with defined abs and legs in a crop top outfit and a skirt with a deep slit. However, still resorting to editing her pictures to look tall and thin is concerning because she shouldn’t have to change herself and should stay away from coming across as superficial. It could be that wanting to look skinny was not her intention and Darcey just wanted her photo to look like it was straight out of a high-fashion editorial.
But then again, this is not the first of Darcey’s Photoshop mistakes after becoming a famous 90 Day Fiancé cast member. Her Instagram page is almost always the subject of negative comments mocking her appearance, and this time, things were not any different. Darcey always reveals how she looks in real life on her TV show, and she has nothing to hide. She has previously admitted that she uses a filter or two for fun on social media. But it’s true that, at times, she does take things a little too far.
