The Slaton sisters are returning in January 2023 and 1000-Lb Sisters fans have much to look forward to, including a new baby and a wedding.

After a year away from the cameras, the Slaton Sisters are returning to TLC on 1000-Lb Sisters season 4 in January 2023, as revealed in the latest trailer titled, “Lots of Newness.” Season 3 left off on major cliffhangers regarding Tammy’s well-being, and the future of Amy’s growing family. Fans have relied solely on the sister’s social media for updates on Amy and Tammy in the last year and have wondered what else happened to the TLC stars in 2022.

After recapping the dramatic end of season 3, the trailer, shared on TLC’s YouTube page, reveals that Tammy is in stable condition but still in rehab for her struggles with food. During her rehabilitation, however, she met someone special, who has been revealed to be her new husband. Along with Tammy’s love story, Amy’s second pregnancy is documented. It doesn’t appear to have been an easy journey for the star, with 1000-Lb Sisters fans criticizing her recent Christmas photos and overall lack of progress on her weight loss since giving birth.

Sibling Rivalry and Reveals On 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4

The trailer packs on the drama and reveals the details surrounding the sisters’ future. Tammy’s ultimate goal of achieving weight loss surgery is teased in a scene with Dr. Smith, who still seems wary of approving her for the procedure. Amy’s pregnancies so soon after her surgery have jeopardized her weight loss and internal health. Meanwhile, their brother Chris has stolen the show regarding health improvement, showing off his awe-inspiring transformation briefly in the trailer. After an entire year away from television, all the Slatons have much to share with fans, and Amy must prove her weight loss isn’t a sham.

1000-Lb Sisters began with the sole focus on the health of Amy and Tammy but has morphed over the last three seasons into an honest look at the lives of the entire Slaton family, who have overcome many struggles since childhood. Amy was the first to prevail in achieving weight loss surgery, which left Tammy feeling worse than ever, which nearly led to her death in season 3. Thankfully it seems Tammy has found the will to continue better herself and has even found love. But fans’ attention is shifting back to Amy, since she gained much of her weight back, which had fans speculating she was refusing to return to 1000-Lb Sisters. Thankfully, both sisters are back with their husbands in tow, ready to reveal the future of their lives and the series.

A spin-off of TLC’s successful franchise My 600-Lb Life1000-Lb Sisters has become a fan favorite, as the gassy Slaton sisters entertain and inspire viewers. With the funds from the show and an encouraging fan base behind them, whether either of the sisters achieves their weight loss goal is up to them. Fans hope 1000-Lb Sisters season 4 will be the turning point in which Amy and Tammy secure their healthy futures and prove that Chris isn’t the only Slaton who can follow through with Dr. Smith’s plan for a long and healthy future.

1000-Lb Sisters season 4 premieres on January 17th at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
