The 27-year-old reality star is featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 with her Arizona-based boyfriend, Caleb. The couple has met in Turkey to see if their online friendship can turn into a romantic relationship. But, Alina has been getting tons of negative comments on social media for rushing into intimacy with Caleb, who wants to take things slow.
Just when 90 Day Fiancé viewers decided to overlook Alina’s desperate behavior on the show, she gave them another reason to criticize her. She reposted an old picture and caption on her Instagram in which she used the N-word. The Russian singer spelled the offensive word differently, thinking it would sound funny. But it was far from it. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans are now calling Alina out and want to get her banned from the show. After lying low for a few days, the new TLC star has finally apologized for her racist actions.
Alina’s on-screen love interest is now reacting to this controversy. When a 90 Day Fiancé fan asked the 28-year-old reality star Caleb, “What do you think about Alina’s racist post?,” he replied, “I don’t condone any sort of prejudice or racism.” Caleb mentioned that he never knew about Alina’s controversial posts before, and he couldn’t comment on what she posted on social media back in her school days. He added, “All i know is that in my heart of hearts Alina is not a racist.” Caleb showed his support for Alina by saying that he always saw her treat everyone with empathy and respect.
Before concluding his Instagram story, he said, “My heart goes out to anyone who has been hurt.” When another 90 Day Fiancé viewer asked Caleb whether he was still dating Alina, he replied, “Tune in to find out. New episode tomorrow.” While Caleb only has good things to say about Alina, many TLC viewers don’t think she is as sweet and kind as she appears on cameras. After keeping quiet for two days and claiming that her racist post was photoshopped, Alina has finally apologized for her actions.
However, many 90 Day Fiancé fans don’t think her apology was sincere because she still made excuses. She claimed that she didn’t understand the meaning of the racial slur, and that’s why she used it in her old post. However, fans argued that she shouldn’t have censored the word if she didn’t know what it meant. It is quite bizarre that Alina, who became a fan favorite just after her debut, might now lose her contract with TLC.
