1000-lb Sisters: Amy Slaton Shares Weight Loss Inspiration
Amy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters shares with her audience the reason behind why she wants to lose weight. During her time filming on Season 1, she shares her biggest reason behind why she wants to slim down. She says she wants to become a mom but hasn’t been able to because of her weight. So, she hopes that losing weight will help her to get pregnant.
At the start of her weight loss journey, she’s over 400 pounds. Yet, she worked hard to get drop enough pounds to qualify for the weight loss journey. In a turn of good news, she lost enough and got the surgery she worked for. Shortly after healing up from her operation, she learned she’s pregnant.
TLC Star Has Pregnancy Complications
Even though 1000-lb Sisters personality Amy Slaton’s excited about getting pregnant, there are many complications she has. During her pregnancy, she’s rushed to the hospital because of pain. However, she learned her eating habits are the reason why she was in so much pain. After eating leftover Chinese food for breakfast, her blood pressure skyrocketed. This caused her to feel an intense amount of pain which left her needing medical care.
But, that’s not the only problem Amy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters experiences during her pregnancy. Towards the end of her pregnancy, she learns her baby is measuring small. However, her sister, Tammy Slaton, reminds her this is a complication that’s expected since she got pregnant so soon after gastric bypass surgery.
1000-lb Sisters: No Second Baby for Amy?
In Season 3 teasers for 1000-lb Sisters, Amy Slaton mops her house. However, while she’s cleaning, she talks about how she isn’t ready to have a second baby. She says she wasn’t ready to have a baby and a “35-year-old baby.” Also, TLC shows Amy bottle feeding baby Gage as he plays with his mom.
